Your experiences matter

Through a nationwide online survey, the LIFE Initiative aims to better understand the bureaucratic hurdles that migrants face when dealing with immigration authorities.

Your experiences help shed light on existing problems and develop concrete proposals for more understandable and transparent administrative processes.

Who can participate?

The survey is aimed at immigrants who:

• live in Germany,
• do not hold an EU passport,
• have a temporary residence permit.

Here’s how the survey works

Participation involves completing a structured online questionnaire once. Participation is voluntary. No preparation is necessary.

Duration: approx. 20 minutes
Expense reimbursement: 20 euros

We will pay the compensation for your time via SEPA or PayPal transfer to all participants who have completed the survey in full, as a one-time payment within 14 days.

What happens to your answers?

The data will be analyzed anonymously by the LIFE Initiative project team. Personal data will not be shared. The goal is not to evaluate individual agencies or employees. Rather, the aim is to identify recurring structural challenges and develop practical recommendations for improvement.
