Many people wait months for an appointment at the immigration office, don’t understand the letters they receive, and fear for their residency status. This is exactly where the volunteers of the LIFE Initiative step in to help. Now we have the opportunity to address the problem at a structural level: The federal government is providing us with €400,000 in funding so that we can systematically analyze our cases and develop concrete recommendations for improving the procedures of immigration authorities.
Our call for support: This project represents an enormous undertaking. We must contribute €40,000 (10%) from our own funds while continuing our coaching work. To do this, we need €2,500 in additional revenue per month. To make this project a reality, we need 100 new supporters by the end of May.

What impact will my contribution have?
Your contribution and your commitment enable us to work together to help people in emergency situations overcome bureaucratic hurdles and build sustainable structures for online volunteering and social coaching. A monthly donation of €25 covers the cost of social coaching for approximately five people per year.
Your contribution has a tremendous multiplier effect: We need ten percent of our own funds for project grants. Through your support, you are therefore unlocking ten times that amount for us.
Why does the LIFE Initiative need funding?
All volunteers of the LIFE Initiative work free of charge, but for the technical and organizational structures, we depend on donations. We have also already applied for government grants. Since the grant programs usually require 10 % of our own funds, up to ten times the amount of your donation can be raised as a budget for the LIFE Initiative.
What are the obligations of my membership?
Supporting membership is not associated with any obligations or risks and can be canceled on a monthly basis. As a supporting member, you will receive regular information about the work of the LIFE Initiative and can support us as an advisor with your know-how.
How do I become a full member of the association?
Full members are encouraged to actively promote the goals of the association, can get involved in different areas, and participate in general meetings. Send us your application for membership by e-mail to office@life-initiative.org. With your application for membership, you agree to the statutes of the association and confirm that you are older than 18 years. Feel free to write us about your experience.
How much tax do I save with the donation receipt?
Your donations and contributions to the LIFE Initiative are fully deductible from your income tax. The tax savings can be up to 50 % of the donation. The exact amount depends on your income. You can check it with a donation calculator.
