The meeting can last several hours.<\/span>. During this meeting, you will explain the <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>reasons for your flight<\/strong><\/span>. What you say during the interview is very important for your asylum process. Everything you do not say or show during the hearing may not be considered later.<\/li>\n<li>You will get the invitation to the interview and the <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>exact date<\/strong><\/span><sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"3\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000000021850000000000000000_2421\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000000021850000000000000000_2421-3\">3<\/a><\/sup><span id=\"mfn-content-00000000000021850000000000000000_2421-3\" role=\"tooltip\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote__note\" tabindex=\"0\" data-mfn=\"3\">Make sure to go to the interview, otherwise your asylum application might be rejected. The letter will say \u201cInvitation to the interview.\u201d<\/span> The interview can be soon after you arrive or several months later. You should not use it during the interview but instead answer the questions from memory.<\/span> with <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>important details<\/strong><\/span> and your <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>reasons for fleeing<\/strong><\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>\n<div>Write down what happened before you fled, when you left your country, and how your flight went, in <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>chronological order<\/strong><\/span>. Note down places and times <span style=\"color: #ff9900;\"><strong>as accurately as possible<\/strong><\/span><sup class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote modern-footnotes-footnote--hover-on-desktop \" data-mfn=\"8\" data-mfn-post-scope=\"00000000000021850000000000000000_2421\"><a href=\"javascript:void(0)\"  role=\"button\" aria-pressed=\"false\" aria-describedby=\"mfn-content-00000000000021850000000000000000_2421-8\">8<\/a><\/sup><span id=\"mfn-content-00000000000021850000000000000000_2421-8\" role=\"tooltip\" class=\"modern-footnotes-footnote__note\" tabindex=\"0\" data-mfn=\"8\">If you are unsure about a place or date, note that you are not sure.<\/span>. The following countries are considered <a href=\"https:\/\/handbookgermany.de\/en\/safe-countries\">safe countries of origin<\/a>: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Ghana, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Moldova, Senegal, and Serbia.<\/span>, it is especially recommended to get help from a lawyer.<\/li>\n<li>If you are unsure how to describe your reasons for fleeing, a lawyer can help.
